Hello again! This time I am writing about my first tutoring session, which occurred last week. I chose to tutor my wife on the English language since she is taking an English class and sometimes seems to require some help. I tried Ramin's suggestion of "looking around" and using everyday things to teach. I was amazed at how much I could teach in an hour of dedicated tutoring! I was also able to help her understand things that she heard in class such as the expression "taken its toll". I realized that there are a lot of things that she could still learn, and also that I could learn, because whenever she asks me a question that I do not know the answer to, I feel forced to look it up. I am looking forward to the next session and I will keep integrating what I have learned in class.
(Sorry if my post is not so polished...I am in a room full of Blackboard User Support technicians and I can't hear myself think :)
