Hello everybody. I had my first experience as a conversation partner yesterday. The guy's name in Juseob Yang. I am still working on pronouncing his first name; it has proven challenging. I believe I should pronounce his name like this: Ju-shobb.
We had a very interesting conversation. In a matter of minutes, I was able to find out that Juseob likes classical music, enjoys soccer, loves Led Zeppelin, and that his wife is pregnant with their first baby! He also told me that he was a Christian, which was interesting to me, because I also identify myself as a Christian. In fact, he told me that 25 percent of the people in Korea identify themselves as Christian.
I also learned that he was going to leave Tallahassee for the first time since he came here to the U.S. He was very excited about the trip to Atlanta that he was going to make this weekend.
I am very excited to be able to make someone feel at home, even when they have left their country of origin. After all, we all live under the same "roof"... (I don't really have to explain myself, do I?)
